SONGWRITER

I grew up with parents that wrote songs, so it’s always seemed a natural human activity. As well as songs, I’ve written music for numerous library, corporate, TV and film projects. My songs have been covered by well-known artists including The Backstreet Boys. ‘How Did I Fall In Love With You’ was included on the Backstreet Boys’ Black & Blue album, which has been certified 8 x platinum in the US and sold over 24 million copies worldwide.

My long-term musical partnership with Colin Vearncombe aka Black included touring, album production and song-writing.  We co-wrote the final Black album, ‘Blind Faith’ (2015), that re-established Black as a vibrant and relevant artist, before his tragically early death in 2016.

The first song I wrote with Peggy Seeger, ‘Swim To The Star’, won the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Best Original Song.
